Breast Cancer in Colonial America Program

Join us on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 2:00pm for a program by Dr. Robert Satonik on Breast Cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness month, as part of the Foundation Americas 250th programming.
Dr. Satonik, a Park volunteer, has developed a narrative of four women after extensive research into the early surgical treatments of breast cancer in colonial America, including George Washington’s mother and John Adams daughter. The presentation will be in the Theater located inside the Visitor Center and supplemental information available from related organizations.
