Programs will be held from 10:30am – 12:30pm and 1pm – 3:00pm on the days and locations listed below. Fishing rods, tackle, life vests, and an experienced angler will be present on site free of charge. Target age range is 7 – 17 years old, though exceptions for participation in the program can be made. Anyone older than 17 will need a valid Michigan fishing license. All participants under 17 years old will need an adult chaperone to accompany them throughout the program. Severe weather will cause us to seek shelter and perhaps cancel. Participants will learn basic knot tying and casting techniques, how to catch and release properly, common fish identification, the history of fishing in the region, and about stewardship of the environmental resources that preserve the fish population in the area.
